Sam Smith’s Spectre Theme Number One On UK Charts; Video Released

I’m still underwhelmed by Sam Smith‘s theme for the upcoming 007 flick Spectre, but it seems plenty of people like it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Writing’s On the Wall,” written by Smith and Jimmy Napes, has reached the number one spot in the UK charts. It’s a feat no other Bond theme has managed to accomplish. It’s also Smith fifth number one single.

Like I said when it was released, I’m no music critic. Also, pop music sensibilities baffle me.

Meanwhile, the video for the song has also been released with new footage from Spectrefor those of you collecting every piece of footage in anticipation of its release.

Spectre arrives in theaters in the UK on October 26th and in the US on November 6th.
